Half Term Holidays

Well then, here I am in Scotland.

It was a hellish journey getting here, nearly a 10 hour drive! Some guy's car broke down on this section of motorway which had only one lane. A rescue car had to reverse 3 miles down that lane to reach that car and take it away. That took about 1½ hours and after that, the cars started to move again. Except for one car, and therefore the hundreds of cars behind that one also weren't moving, including us. The old bloke driving it had become ill! They had to get an ambulance in which cost us another 50 minutes or so! But we got to Glasgow in the end at about 7:30 pm, and went straight to the New Anand, a curry house. It was delicious! There was a great buffet selection and I ate as much as I could. We then drove up to my gran's house where we'll be staying the next few nights.

So it's 5:30 pm on Sunday, and I'm at the house of my uncle Frank, aunt Anne, and cousins Neil, Dan and Fiona. I have recently beaten Neil at a game of backgammon, a game of snooker, and two games of table-tennis. Well, he is only nine...

I should be coming back to England on Wednesday, but possibly Thursday, so I'm sure I'll speak to you then abouts.

Have fun and keep enjoying your half term.

The Times National Su Doku Championships, 2005

Well, I didn't win, but I didn't expect to. Some nerds won... I think I did quite well actually, but I'll never know exactly where I came, but I know I beat the large majority. I know I didn't come in the top three, but meh. It was a good day out at Cheltenham, and we got a bunch of free stuff.

I got a really nice The Times pen, and an average The Times pencil:

Then after the competition we were all given a "goodies bag":

And in this almighty bag was a copy of The Times Su Doku Book 2, of which we already own two copies, a revision guide order booklet, a little atlas, an extract from some book and I think there was another, crappy, pen in there somewhere. Oh yeah, and a balloon!! I think I'll inflate it on my birthday for a laugh. It says on it exactly what the bag says.

The day out was good fun and well worth it in the end, I think. Here are some photos of me holding the precious bag outside the Cheltenham Ladies' College in which the competition was held:

KFC!

Woo! Last night, I got me some good ole' KFC! I also bought Fin his Large Popcorn Chicken Meal which I owed him, so now we are even! The MD player is mine forever! Had to lend Tom some money, but I'll get it out of him next time I see him one way or another...

So this morning I had tennis, was a laugh. I forgot to bring the Ace of the Week trophy that I won last week back so I have to remember to take it next week. After that I met up with Fin and Chris and we went to Subway. As we were waiting for Nick just oustide Subway, Fin noticed that Mr Robinson was standing just outside!! Lol! I asked him why he was in WGC (he lives in Welham Green) and he replied "Shopping.", so, there you go. He said he was probably gonna get lunch from KFC down the road, but he was waiting for Mr Má (I think that's the right tone) to get his sub first. I got a Cheese Steak Melt. Was nice. Very.

So, I went to the quiz night at the church down the road tonight. Me and Tom were on a table with John Spurgeon and Mark, Peter and John Goodfellow. The whole night was a laugh. We came joint second-last (with one team with a lower score than us) but meh, who cares? It was fun. Can you tell me who the patron saint of Spain is? I thought as much... I knew that one! Heheheh. E-mail me for the answer. (Don't actually e-mail me.)

And I'm going to the National Times Su Doku Championship competition tomorrow. I've qualified for the 12 to 16 year old category, along with 49 other competitors. Good luck to me! I'll tell you how I did later tomorrow!

Hell yeah.

Templewood Reunion ~ The Pics of Meee!

Me and Abbey! I see you nearly every day but it was still great to see you!

Me and Katie! Hadn't seen you in aaages and it was great to see you again!

Me and Hannah J! Hadn't seen you since year 4 (I think) which is nearly 6 years. Jesus! It was sooo good to see you again! Hope I can see you again soon.

Me and Beau! Great to see you again, not seen you in a while, either!

It was cool to see all these people I hadn't seen in ages again!

The other people who it was great to see, and who I saw, were Hannah W and Laura B. Laura SS and Florence a bit as well, but I had seen them both the previous two weeks, so make of that what you will.

Was an excellent day!

Templewood Reunion 2005!

Was so cool! Laura let us use her house, which was nice, and it turned out very well!

Organised by myself, Mike, Laura and Florence, the reunion was a laugh. Angus, Lucas, Nick, Laura, Hannah, Abbey, Hannah, Katie and Beau all turned up and had fun.

Pool, food, talking, food, Twister, food, and more talking. Seems simple but was very fun.

Here are the photos I took of Twister:

Heheh.

Here's a photo of everyone who came:

We also played a game which Angus got for his birthday, and brought round for us to play. Russian Roulette. Not with real bullets, but chocolate bullets. 12 bullets. Eleven are filled with chocolate. 1 is filled with chilli powder. Everyone nervously took one, and bit into theirs, then sighed with relief. I know I did. But then:

This is Lucas is pain after having taken the chillified chocolate bullet.

I can only get 5 photos on one post, so I'll dedicate my next few posts to photos.

You can get every single photo I took that night from http://magical_arjay.angeltowns.net/reunion.zip - right click and select Save Target As.

It just goes on and on...

Well, no KFC tonight, which is a shame, so I still owe Fin a Large Popcorn Chicken Meal as he gave me his MiniDisc Player in excahange for that, so maybe next week.

Non-uniform day today, very successful, I hope there is another one soon. The money went to a good cause, Jeans for Genes. Get it? Jeans, genes... Ah, morons. So yeah, much comfier than regular uniform, I can tell you that!

I have a primary school (Templewood) reunion tomorrow, and I have mixed feelings about it. Many people from my old class have been invited, however, unfortunately Joseph, Liv, Amy, Hope and Lucy all can't come, so I dunno if I can be bothered to go... Although I have to because I helped arrange it! I'll tell you how it went tomorrow, and maybe even post a few pics.

More to come!
