School Prizes

School Prizegiving is coming up, and this year I'm in the money!

I was first choice to win the Spanish prize, as I got the highest result in the year in both half-year and end of year exams, but I will not be receiving that prize this year. The reason: no person may win more than one prize.

Exactly, I have instead been awarded the French prize.

The reason I was given French instead of Spanish is that because I'm doing an accelerated French GCSE course, it's "worth more" than a standard Spanish long course.

Zoƫ Parry will be receiving the Spanish prize this year. She's very good.

All this information came from Mr Robinson, so if it's wrong, take it up with him!

Wimbledon, 2006

Wimbledon started this week. Wimbledon and the World Cup. Score!

Henman's already out. His second round match was against Roger Federer, which was very unlucky, so he didn't really have a chance.

Andrew Murray is currently winning his match 2 sets to 1 and play has been suspended until tomorrow. My support is 100% for Murray and I think he has the potential to go far. Probably not to win the tournament, but I think in a few years he'll make it.

Exam Week

Exam week was really a fortnight. The two weeks preceding this one we had exams most days and were allowed to go home ealy most days too.

In my opinion, the advantages outweigh the fact that we have exams.

I've done well in all the exams I've found out the result to so far, including getting the top mark in the year in Spanish.

WORLD CUP 2006

The World Cup started about two weeks ago, and what can I say but COME ON ENGLAND!!! I would however be supporting SCOTLAND if they weren't rubbish and had managed to qualify.

In the sweepstakes I've got Argentina, France, Australia and some other team however, so if England go out I want one of them to win.

I also have a Fantasy Football team, but I'm not doing very well. You can see the overall scores of the teams at http://ben.diamond.googlepages.com/jackbarratt'sworldcupfantasyfootball2006.

England are playing Ecuador in a few days, I suggest you all watch and enjoy it.
